René Gamboa

René Gamboa is a lawyer with over a decade of experience in insolvency, corporate restructuring, commercial, financial, and real estate law, both nationally and internationally. He joins Morales Romo Legal & Business Group as part of the strategic team handling complex legal matters, contributing a comprehensive, technical, and current perspective on business law.

Before joining the firm, he was part of the team at Sainz Abogados, where he actively participated in large-scale restructurings and insolvency proceedings, representing both debtors and creditors, including ad hoc bondholder committees and companies undergoing reorganization under Mexican and foreign legislation.

He has advised corporate groups and financial institutions on structuring complex securities, multi-jurisdictional financings, and the legal reconfiguration of real estate and financial portfolios. His real estate experience includes acquisitions, joint ventures, trusts, industrial leases, and mixed-use developments, including transactions involving FIBRAS.

Among the most notable cases he has worked on are the restructurings of Grupo Aeroméxico, M&G Polímeros, Oceanografía, Hipotecaria Su Casita, GEO, and Homex—all recognized for their complexity and legal significance in Mexico.

René holds a Law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana and specialized training in Commercial Bankruptcy Law from Escuela Libre de Derecho and Contract Law from Universidad Iberoamericana.
